Another COVID-19 patient from Dhubri dist released

DHUBRI, April 29 - Thirty-five-year-old Hazrat Ali, a resident of Dongerpar, Jhagrarpar Pt-III area under Dhubri Police Station, who was tested COVID-19 positive on April 13, has been released after being treated.

Ali was the third COVID-19 positive case in the district who has been found negative in the subsequent tests and released from MMC Hospital, Guwahati, said the district administration. Top administrative officials also said that he would be kept under observation.

It may be informed that Ali went to Delhi on March 17 to buy products for his cloth shop located in the Dhubri town�s Hawker market. On March 21, he returned via an AirAsia flight to Guwahati and went directly to Dhubri. During his visit to Delhi, he went to Nizamuddin Markaj Masjid. However, in Dhubri, he was kept under home quarantine till April 6.

Meanwhile, till now, five COVID-19 positive cases have come up in the district, out of which till Wednesday, four have been released and all are under observation. Al Haz Jamal Uddin, the first COVID-19 positive case of the district along with Rahimuddin and his wife Rashida Khatun, the other COVID-19 positive patient of the district were released on April 26.

In another development, till now 839 samples have been sent for COVID-19 testing, out of which reports of 307 samples are awaited. While another 158 samples, collected randomly till Sunday, have been sent for COVID-19 testing, the results of which are also awaited. On Wednesday, 84 samples have been sent for testing.
