Annual Plan of Arunachal fixed at Rs 3,200 cr

NEW DELHI, June 13 � The Annual Plan of Arunachal Pradesh for the year 2011-12 has been finalized at Rs 3,200 crore, at a meeting between State Chief Minister Jarbom Gamlin and Planning Commission�s Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia, here today.

Ahluwalia said that as the Commission was concerned about inadequate infrastructure in the North-eastern States, it is keen to expedite development of road network in the State.

Ahluwalia said 12th Plan would continue to focus on infrastructure development in the North-east.

Ahluwalia said the Commission was expecting from States their views on the ongoing social sector programmes and would be keen to bring about necessary changes in the guidelines if they were coming in the way of implementation.
