SIVASAGAR, March 19 � Gandhian leader Anna Hazare will attend the concluding day of the 4th biennial conference of the Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) at Diroi Rangoli tomorrow, KMSS president Akhil Gogoi told The Assam Tribune here today.
Anna Hazare, who has already arrived in Dibrugarh, will address the open session, Gogoi added.
Among those also likely to be present on the concluding day of the conference are Haider Hussain, Ajit Bhuyan, Nekibur Zaman, Maini Mahanta, Saumarjyoti Mahanta and Dr Anil Saikia.
A meeting to set the agenda of the conference tomorrow is going on till the time of filing of this report.
Our Dibrugarh Staff Correspondent adds: Flying straight from Pune to Dibrugarh via Kolkata, the septuagenarian Gandhian leader landed in Mohanbari airport here around 10:30 am. He was then whisked off to Dibrugarh University Guest House amid tight security and no one has been allowed to meet the social activist.
�We have decided not to talk to any mediaperson, organisations or individuals without meeting Akhil Gogoi�s team. Annaji will be talking to media and others only after he has addressed the gathering tomorrow,� Vinayak Rao Patil, emissary of Anna Hazare, told The Assam Tribune here today.
In his address to the KMSS volunteers tomorrow, Hazare will mainly raise the controversial Land Acquisition Bill and other local issues of Assam, Patil said. Asked to comment on the new political party floated by KMSS, Patil said that Annaji has nothing to do with politics.
