GUWAHATI, May 1 � With a 24-run victory against Navarang Club in the first semifinal of the GSA A Division Cricket Championship for the Bhupen Chandra Mahanta Trophy, Ankurjyoti Club cruised into the final.
At the Nehru Stadium here today, Ankurjyoti opted to bat first and posted a challenging total of 174 for the loss of eight wickets in 35 overs. Erik Roy was their top scorer with 53-ball 59 while Rian Parag contributed 43 off 73 deliveries.
Navarang failed to chase the target and were all out for 150 in 31.1 overs. Lakhan Das top scored with 26 while Rio Pramanik and Rian Parag wrecked their innings with four and two wickets respectively.
