SIVASAGAR, June 17 - Former ACC president and Transport Minister Anjan Dutta was remembered by a host of organisations at Gaurisagar, Amguri and Sivasagar on the occasion of his second death anniversary yesterday.
In Gaurisagar, Dutta�s daughter and secretary of State Congress, Ankita Dutta laid a floral wreath and lit a ceremonial lamp on his cremation ground as hundreds of Congress workers offered sraddhanjalee to the departed leader.
Block Congress president Suren Bora presided over the meeting held on the occasion while Dambarudhar Duwora spoke on the life and works of the leader who contributed a lot for Amguri constituency.
Sushanta Borgohain, district Congress president in his speech said that with Anjan Dutta�s death, the State has lost one of her ablest political leaders of modern times. The meet was also attended by Aparajita Gogoi, Prafulla Boruah, Sarat Gogoi, Purujit Mahanta, Nandeswar Duwora, Pramod Phukan and Kartick Dutta, among others.
