NEW DELHI, Oct 14 � In what could mark revival of political activism in the Congress Party, senior leader and MLA Anjan Dutta today met Congress president Sonia Gandhi, while Himanta Biswa Sarma and Kirip Chaliha met Rahul Gandhi.
Dutta briefed Gandhi on the prevailing political situation and drew her attention to the memorandum they had submitted, wherein they had warned of poor performance in the Lok Sabha polls in Assam.
He further cautioned Gandhi that the party may not do well in the 2016 Assembly elections if corrective measures are not taken now.
