GUWAHATI, June 2 - Members of All Assam Anganwadi Workers� Union today met the Minister of Social Welfare Naba Doley over their various demands including regularisation of jobs and a hike in remuneration.
�After hearing our demands, the minister promised to resolve the issue amicably. He also stated that the demands of Anganwadi workers were justified and logical,� a release from the union stated, adding that the Government would soon make some positive announcement related to a hike in the honorarium.
After the discussion, the union postponed its protest programme scheduled from June 9.
