SILCHAR, Sept 16 - Anbamuthan MP, will take charge as the new Deputy Commissioner of Karimganj district.
This was communicated through an order issued on Monday by the Personnel Department, Government of Assam. Anbamuthan MP, officiating as Staff Officer to Chief Secretary will replace present DC MS Manivannan who has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Revenue DM Department with additional responsibilities as CEO, ASDMA and other tasks.
However, Manivannan can hand over the charge to the new DC only after the disbursement of bonus in the tea garden areas, the order said.
Meanwhile, an ex- Indian Army officer and Sena Medal awardee for gallantry, Anbamuthan has made significant contributions in fighting the vector-borne Japanese Encephalitis in the State.
