JORABAT, April 9 - Intensifying their protest against the governments move to set up an Assam Rifles (AR) camp in Sonapur, six Amri Karbi tribal organisations have planned to take out a protest rally in Guwahati city tomorrow.

The Amri Karbi people here believe that it is the governments conspiracy to root out the tribal people from Dimoria by setting up a number of military camps, evicting the tribals from their lands.

Thousands of protesters representing six Amri Karbi tribal organisations will take out their rally from the Latasil playground to Dispur, demanding prompt action to stop the move to set up the camp in the tribal belt region. The protesters will also be protesting against the plan to expand the city towards the tribal region.

The organisations that will take out the joint rally tomorrow are: Amri Karbi National Council (AKNC), Amri Karbi Students Union (AKSU), Amri Karbi Arloso Asem (AKAA), Amri Karbi Bangthe Asem (AKBA), Amri Karbi Tsornam Ahartsi Amel (AKAA) and Amri Karbi Ruktsak Asem (AKRA).
