Amranga residents pray for Mamoni�s recovery

MIRZA, Sept 28 � With the condition of Dr Mamoni Raisom Goswami remaining unchanged, family members of her ancestral village, Amranga are praying for her recovery. A worried cousin Jayanta Goswami who failed to fight back his tears said, �her recovery will be a blessing for all as she has still got a lot to give.� Always a helping hand for the distinguished literary figure, Jayanta informed that the Jnanpith awardee has planned to write a book on the Rajaphukhuri Satra in Palasbari constituency.

Moreover, the yet-to be inaugurated health centre which is named after her father and paternal uncle � Umakanta & Chandrakanta Goswami PHC, Amranga, Borihat is waiting for her as she is supposed to inaugurate it.

The inauguration of the 12-bed PHC for the construction of which Dr Goswami donated 40 lakh has been deferred due to her indisposition. Notably, the plot of land for the PHC was donated by her father in 1952.
