SILCHAR, April 10 - An 80-year-old woman and her son were found dead under mysterious circumstances at their residence at Second Link Road area here on Sunday.
The two have been identified as Shila Deb Kanungo and Soumitra Deb Kanungo (53). Sniffer dogs were brought on the spot to detect any clue. The police said that the matter is under investigation.
Meanwhile, residents of the locality have expressed concerns on the security arrangements of the area. They urged the Cachar police administration to reopen the police patrol post which was set up here to monitor foul activities.
