KALAIGAON, Jan 28: In a tragic incident, one Birsa Uti Munda (60) of Badlapara Farmline area under Dimakuchi PS in Udalguri district was trampled to death by a wild elephant on January 27 at 6 am. The victim died on the spot. This has been the first human-elephant conflict causality in the district during 2021. Last year, 15 people had lost their lives due to this conflict. – Correspondent
