Veteran Cong leader Prashanta Dutta dies

TINSUKIA, June 30 - Prashanta Dutta, a veteran Congress leader, former vice chairman and chairman of Tinsukia Municipal Board, former general secretary and president of Tinsukia District Congress Committee breathed his last at a private nursing home in Dibrugarh on Friday due to critical head injuries caused by a sudden fall a few days back at his residence here.

The 76-year-old Congress leader was suffering from several health problems for the last few years. He leaves behind his wife, two daughters and a host of well-wishers. His death has been condoled by several State-level as well as district-level Congress leaders and activists.
