Doomdooma, February 15: The Tinsukia district committee of All Tai Ahom Students' Union (ATASU) staged a three-hour sit-in strike on Monday near Doomdooma Town Field.
The protesters demanded the government to accord ST status to the Tai-Ahom community in the State, to repeal the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the draft EIA, to preserve all the historical monuments of the Ahom era and to release Akhil Gogoi unconditionally.
