Timber-laden mini truck seized, driver held

JORABAT, April 12 - In course of a routine patrolling duty, a 407 mini truck loaded with timber was intercepted by Khetri police at Topatoli last night for transporting the timber without proper documents.

According to Pradip Kumar Nath, Officer in-charge of Khetri Police Station, the truck was on its way from Meghalaya to Morigaon. The timber-laden vehicle was later handed over to the Sonapur Forest Range and the driver Maneshwar Pator arrested. Sonapur Forest Ranger Gautam Mahanta has registered a case in this regard.
