Three novels nominated for Aank Baak award

GUWAHATI, July 16 � Three novels have been nominated for the Aank Baak award � Suwa Pitambar Shyam Boron Megh Ure revolving around the dual cultural orientation of tribal people that of Vaishnavite impact and retaining their own distinct tribal ethos, Tejimalar Makar Sadhu reflecting on the mental condition of the stepmother showed as a bad character and Neela Noi highlighting the struggle of Adivasi refugees.

The Aank Baak award for novel carries Rs 1 lakh and a citation.
