GUWAHATI, Jan 29: Music exponent Himanshu Kumar Barua has been appointed as a member of the Board of Governors in the Kolkata-based Eastern Zone Cultural Centre (EZCC) by the Union Ministry of Culture, according to a press release issued here today.
Barua, who has written two books on music, has also been associated with various important cultural projects and has shouldered various responsibilities. He offered his services as an honorary member of the Film Censor Board of Assam as well, the release added.
