Squash camp inaugurated

GUWAHATI, March 1 - The newly formed Guwahati Squash and Racket Association is holding a six-day coaching camp for the beginners at the squash hall in the RG Baruah Sports Complex here today.

The infrastructure was built for the recently concluded 12th South Asian Games which will be used by the organisers for holding the camp. Ashok Talukdar and Gaurav Singh will impart coaching to the beginners during the camp. Initially 25 city based youngsters have joined the camp today.

Ajai Tiwari, Commissioner and Secretary, Sports and Youth Welfare, Govt of Assam inaugurated the camp in a brief opening ceremony. He hoped that the infrastructure will help in producing quality players. Sports organisers Premadhar Sharma, Munin Nobis were also present as guests in the function.
