Guwahati, April 5: The National Anti-Doping Agency's (NADA) Disciplinary Panel has imposed a four-year ban on Sanjita Chanu, a two-time gold medalist at the Commonwealth Games, for failing a dope test.
Chanu tested positive for Drostanolone Metabolite, an anabolic steroid that is on the World Anti-Doping Agency's banned list (WADA).
Notably, Chanu’s dope sample was collected on September 30, 2022 during the National Games competition.
