WASHINGTON, Aug 3 (PTI): India�s Somdev Devvarman recorded a comfortable straight set victory over Denis Gremelmayr to book a berth in the second round of the ATP Legg Mason Classic here.
Somdev beat the German 6-2, 6-3 in just under an hour to move to the next level, where he will face seventh seed and world number 25 Marcos Bagdatis of Cyprus.
Baghdatis had got a bye in the first round. Somdev converted all the four breakpoints he got in the match and saved two chances of his own serve in the second set.
