GUWAHATI, Aug 29 - The maiden edition of the State Level Inter School Taekwondo Championship, organised by the Sarala Birla Gyan Jyoti, Amingaon, began today at the school auditorium.
The two-day championship has been organised on the occasion of the National Sports Day where 320 students from 62 different schools of Assam are participating.
Former National Games women taekwondo champion Jubilee Payeng, former international martial arts player Bedanta Rajkhuwa, principal of Sarala Birla Gyan Jyoti School Dr Diganta Halder and working president of Kamrup Taekwondo Association Diganta Bora were present in the opening ceremony. The final round matches will be held tomorrow.
