JORHAT, Aug 17 - A CID team from Guwahati on Wednesday brought suspended Revenue Joint Secretary Bubul Lekharu, one of the accused in the Rs 38-crore Untied Fund scam, from the Guwahati Central Jail to the Jorhat Police Station for interrogation.
Lekharu, who served in Jorhat as an Additional DC till 2016, was arrested two months back by Jorhat Police on charges of committing financial irregularities during his tenure as the executive officer of the Jorhat Municipal Board.
He was also arrested by the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption wing of Assam Police for his alleged involvement in the Untied Fund scam.
