Gossaigaon, March 9: A flying squad team carrying out routine checking ahead of Assam Assembly election has seized two lakh rupees in cash at Serfanguri under Serfanguri P.S. on Tuesday.
Later the seized cash was deposited at Gossaigaon Sub-Divisional treasury. As the Model Code of Conduct has been put in force, no one is allowed to carry more than fifty thousand rupees in cash.
