Review of BTC Accord demanded

GUWAHATI, Jan 12 � The Asom Sankhyalaghu Sangram Parishad has demanded upon the Governor of Assam to review the BTC Accord so that the rights of all communities are protected. In a memorandum to the Governor, the Parishad also insisted that the miscreants involved in murder, kidnapping, extortion and all forms of violence be nabbed and punished.

The Parishad, while calling for rehabilitating the victims of BTAD violence, has asked for compensation to the tune of Rs 10 lakh each for families of the victims of ethnic cleansing in BTAD and its adjacent areas.
