Registered Medical practitioner kidnapped

TURA, July 8 - A registered medical practitioner, Biplab Dhar (40) of Chaipani in Dalu, West Garo Hills (WGH) was kidnapped today by an unidentified group of men while he was selling medicines in the weekly market in Dumnikura in South Garo Hills (SGH).

The incident happened at about 8.15 am today when the market was in full swing. A group of four men armed with country-made weapons approached Dhar and his employees and took the RMP and his associates at gun point. While two of the group, Bhuton Dalu and Krishna Modak escaped during the incident, Dhar was not so lucky.

A case was registered by the brother of the victim in the Gasuapara outpost.
