Rajnath speaks to CM on grenade attack

NEW DELHI, May 16 - Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday spoke to Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal regarding the grenade blast in Guwahati that injured 12 people last night.

Sonowal apprised the Home Minister about the current situation. Singh wished speedy recovery of the injured, official sources here said.

Meanwhile, Rajnath Singh also tweeted HM @rajnathsingh spoke to Assam Chief Minister, @sarbanandsonwal regarding the blast in Guwahati. The Chief Minister apprised him of the situation. The police and other agencies are investigating the incident. The HM prays for the speedy recovery of the injured,� the Home Ministry Office tweeted.

The case meanwhile is likely to be taken over by the National Investigation Authority (NIA), though the notification to that effect is yet to be issued.
