GUWAHATI, Jan 16 - The Department of Higher Education, Government of Assam, is going to organise a flagship programme �Special merit scholarship for 100 girl students� at the Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra international auditorium tomorrow.
Seventy girl students from polytechnics and 30 girl students from engineering colleges of Assam will be awarded a one-time cash scholarship of Rs 30,000 and a citation. Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Education Minister Siddhartha Bhattacharya and others will attend the programme.
