IMPHAL, Jan 17 - Manipur State Health and Family Welfare Services today launched the first phase of intensified pulse polio immunisation programme by opening 3,400 polio booths and deploying about 13,700 vaccinators across the State. It is targeted to provide polio vaccines to around 3.52 lakh children in the State.
State Health and Family Welfare Services Minister Phunzathang Tonsing formally launched the polio immunisation programme for the year 2016 at the premises of Family Welfare Services here this morning.
