One held in murder case

DERGAON, Oct 28 - One person was arrested in the sensational murder case of an youth at Garmarah village, 10 kilometre off Dergaon town in Golaghat district by unidentified miscreants on Monday night.

According to OC Dergaon PS Kulesh Jyoti Bhuyan, a resident of Garmarah Pradip Saikia (27) was arrested and sent to judicial custody. However, the accused denied any link with the murder. Bhuyan also said that investigation is on and after the investigation was over, more facts would be found out.

It is to be mentioned here that Anil Saikia (30), a resident of Garmarah, was found seriously injured after an attack with sharp weapons near his residence on Monday night and later he succumbed to his injuries on the way to hospital.

The residents of the area have demanded immediate arrest of the culprit involved.
