Oil India FC storm into semis

GUWAHATI, Dec 22 - Oil India FC, Duliajan stormed into the semifinals of the on going Swargadeo Sarbananda Singha Prize-Money Invitation Football Tournament outplaying 2nd Assam Police Battalion, Makum 6-0 in the third quarterfinal at the Janamukh Rajiv Gandhi Sports Complex here today.

In the one-sided encounter Minto Boro struck twice while Mandela Rongmai netted one goal for the Oil team in the first session dominating the proceedings from the word go.

The Oil boys continued their tremendous form after the break also as F Wari, Nabin Rabha and Sunil Murmu of netted one each to complete the rout taking advantage of the gaps left by the battalion defenders. KPSC, Manipur and Tinsukia Divisional Railway Sports Club have already entered the semifinal stage.
