Guwahati, Dec 24: The Indian Army recovered a huge quantity of war-like stores near Chikkim Veng village in Moreh on Tuesday.
During a border patrol, security forces observed suspicious packets in a vehicle with markings in Chinese language. On further enquiry, the driver of the vehicle revealed that the consignment was collected from a hotel in Moreh and was to be transported to Churachandpur.
Security forces immediately raided the hotel and recovered huge quantities of stores such as picatinny rails, mounting platform for firearms accessories, military dresses and one high pressure pneumatic pump.
The recovered items were handed over to Moreh police station for further legal action.
