Itanagar, Mar 3: The Director of Elementary Education cum Chairman, Arunachal Pradesh State Board Examination (APSBE) 2021-22, Otem Tayeng, has announced the fresh schedule for re-conduction of the 'cancelled' Board exam for class VIII Social Science and Science subjects, official sources said today.

As per the latest schedule, the Science examination will be held on March 16 (Wednesday) and the Social Science exam the very next day, March 17 (Thursday). Unlike the earlier schedule, both the subjects' examination will now be conducted in the morning shift (9 am-12 noon).

The APSBE Chairman has asked all the DDSEs not to leave the station during the re-conduct of APSBE-2021-22, while emphasizing that all monitoring and supervision activities at district, block and schools be strictly implemented in accordance with the existing APSBE modalities within their respective jurisdiction.

It is worth mentioning here that the Class VIII Social Science and Science subjects' exams were cancelled last month following reports of question paper leak from Bomdila and Dirang in West Kameng district.

Subsequently, the Principal of Dirang Valley Public School, Tezi Ramadasow, was arrested in connection with the paper leak case that rattled the entire state following registration of a criminal case at Dirang Police Station under IPC Sections 420/120(B).

Presently, the case is being investigated by the Special Investigation Cell (SIC). The arrested accused is in three-day police remand now, the sources said.
