Normalcy back in N Darrang

MANGALDAI, March 1 � The Darrang district administration this evening decided to withdraw curfew from tomorrow morning that has been in force since Thursday in 25 villages under Kalaigaon Revenue Circle in the northern part of the district, as normalcy has returned in the trouble-torn areas.

Many public organisations are going to hold peace meetings in the violence-hit areas, including Naharbari, Kalaigaon and Outola tomorrow. The district administration today sent an official team under ADC Gitanjali Dutta, to take stock of the health conditions of seven persons who are undergoing treatment at the GMCH after they sustained injury in different violent incidents in the district over the last couple of days.
