JORHAT, Jan 27 - The Nripendra Narayan Singha Sports organiser Award Trust organised a ceremonial function today on the occasion of the first death anniversary of Nripendra Narayan Singha here today.
Badan Gogoi, an octogenarian citizen offered homage by lighting the lamp before Singha�s portrait.
Dr Tapan Dutta, secretary of the Trust recalled Singha�s contribution towards the development of Assam sports. Speakers like Anil Sarma, Rohini Kumar Baruah, Nirmal Chetia paid tribute to the legendary sports organiser by elaborating his tireless effort for organising games and sports in the State.
