GUWAHATI, Jan 29: A delegation of the Moran community met Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal at the Assam Administrative Staff College today and discussed with him several issues relating to the community.
During the discussion, Sonowal said that the government has working for the development of Moran community. He said that the State government introduced a State-level award in the name of Bir Raghab Moran for the first time to give due recognition to the community in building the greater Assamese society. He also assured to take necessary steps for addressing the flood and erosion problem of Anantanala and Hatighuli areas.
The team was represented by members of All Moran Sabha, All Moran Students’ Union, Sadou Moran Kala Sanskriti Bikash Kendra, Moran Jaitya Mahila Parishad, Moran Jatiya Karmachari Saikshik Bikash Mancha and Moran Sahitya Sabha.
