IMPHAL,Dec 15 - Manipur is likely to face shortage of fuel due to ongoing agitation against the Citizenship Act in Assam. According to a report, normal supply of petroleum products from outside the state has been affected due to ongoing law-order-situation in Assam.

Meanwhile, Manipurs Consumer Affairs Food and Public Distribution Minister Karam Shyam Singh said that rationing of petroleum products for the two-wheelers and four-wheelers will be carried out at the fuel outlets.

Stating that the government has made necessary preparations to distribute fuels through the retail outlets , he appealed to the retail outlets to refrain from indulging in unethical practices.

An order has been issued regarding rationing of petrol and diesel. The Joint Secretary Ranjan Yumnam said, Petrol, oil and lubricants (POL) will be rationalized until the normal situation is restored.
