Knight Riders beat Kings XI Punjab

MOHALI, March 27 (IANS): Kolkata Knight Riders beat Kings XI Punjab by 39 runs in an Indian Premier League match here Saturday.

Set a target of 184 runs, Kings XI Punjab were all out for 144 for six in 20 overs.

Shane Bond (2-24), Chris Gayle (1-23), Ajit Agarkar (2-32) and Angelo Mathews (1-26) were the wicket takers for KKR.

Manoj Tiwari (75 not out) and Sourav Ganguly (50), were the major contributors with the bat for the Kolkata Knight Riders.

Shalabh Srivastava, Irfan Pathan got two wickets each while Piyush Chawla chipped in with one wicket for Kings XI Punjab.
