Jorhat to host Asian jr tennis

JORHAT, Oct 24 � Preparations are in full swing at Jorhat Tennis Club for the NRL Asian Juniors, the Asian Ranking Tennis tournament of Asian Tennis Federation, informs tournament director Raktim Saikia.

Competitions will be held for both boys and girls under 14 years, singles and doubles from October 31 to November 4.

The qualifying round of the championship will be conducted on October 29 and 30. Players have to sign in at the Jorhat Tennis Club on October 28 between 12 noon to 2 pm. Altogether 32 players will get entry to the main round in singles.

ITF seniors: Jorhat Tennis Club will also host the ITF Seniors, a world ranking tournament for men, from above 35 years to 55 years from November 7 to 11. An amount of Rs 3 lakh is at stake as prize money in the meet.
