HS Shylla passes away

SHILLONG, Aug 7 - Veteran politician Hispreaching Son Shylla today passed away at a hospital here. He was 64.

Shylla had held various posts during his political career and was also a Minister of State. He also served as the Chief Executive Member of the East Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council.

�HS Shylla was a remarkable statesman who stood his ground and who was always vocal about his opinion and views. He made valuable contributions to politics in Meghalaya and his demise is a huge loss to our State. My deepest condolences to his family and loved ones,� Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma stated in a tweet.
