Silchar, March 9: State Minister and NEDA convener Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma walked along the streets of Silchar on Tuesday evening as a part of his visit to south Assam to attend a party meeting here.
In the padyatra which started from Shillongpatty, the BJP candidates Dipayan Chakraborty (Silchar), Kaushik Rai (Lakhipur), Aminul Haque Laskar (Sonai) were seen along with Silchar MP and BJP state general secretary Dr Rajdeep Roy.
Many youths also chanced to click selfies with the minister during the march.
