AGARTALA, April 8 (IANS) - Various social organisations and NGOs in Tripura have come out in support of social activist Anna Hazare, whose indefinite fast in New Delhi for a tough anti-graft law continued for the fourth day Friday.

Hundreds of writers, singers, artists, social activists and journalists gathered at the Agartala Press Club and supported Hazare's cause.

"People from all walks of life assembled in solidarity of Hazare. We would organise some specific programme next week to support Hazare's demand," journalist and social activist Samir Dhar told reporters.

"Our representatives would meet Hazare in New Delhi to express our solidarity," Dhar added.

Various organisations, including Art of Living, held candlelight marches Thursday night in support of the anti-corruption agitation.
