Tea Stall run by transgenders opens in Kamrup DC office

Guwahati, April 18: In a move aimed at encouraging transgenders to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams, a tea stall to be run exclusively by members of the community has been opened in the office of the Deputy Commissioner Kamrup, Amingaon today.

The tea stall was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Kailash Kartik N in the presence of transgender activist and practising advocate Swati Bidhan Baruah.

The tea stall was set up under the aegis of All Assam Transgender Association in association with the District Administration, Kamrup.
