GUWAHATI, Jan 25 - Guwahati cruised into the final of the Senior Inter District Hockey Championship which has been organised at the Maulana Md Tayabulla Hockey Stadium, Bhetapara here as a trial event for the 12th South Asian Games.
In the first semifinal this evening Guwahati defeated Samaguri Hockey Academy 3-0. In the other semifinal, to be played tomorrow morning, Assam Police will face Nagaon.
In the quarterfinals played today, Guwahati beat Morigaon 10-0 while Assam Police beat Karbi Anglong 4-0. In a first round match in the morning the policemen outclassed Sivasagar Hockey Academy 13-0.
