DIPHU. March 4 - The Karbi Anglong Frontline Forest Staff Association (KAFFSA) has demanded stern action against Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council Executive Member Pradip Diphusa.

It may be recalled that the executive member assaulted the Beat Officer DN Harijan on February 25 while he denied earth cutting in the forest areas.

The association said, Assaulting a responsible government official on duty is not a minor case but can be considered as attempt to murder hence it is a cognizable offence. The association has described the assault by an elected representative is shocking and shameful and we have demanded stern action against Prpdip Diphusa.
