BISWANATH CHARIALI, June 26 - Three college buildings, including the administrative block of Biswanath College here were inaugurated on Monday by Minister for Education, Siddhartha Bhattacharya.
The buildings were constructed under the Rashtriya Uchcha Siksha Abhiyan (RUSA) and other schemes of the college.
Inaugurating the buildings, Bhattacharya praised the efforts made by the college authority for development of the educational institution.
He also announced that an engineering and a B Ed college would soon be set up in Biswanath district. The meeting was also attended by Handloom Minister Ranjit Dutta, Biswanath MLA Pramod Borthakur, Gohpur MLA Utpal Borah and others.
Later, a number of local organisations submitted memoranda by citing their grievances and seeking speedy redressal.
