Drugs, liquor seized from truck

SHILLONG, Jan 2 - Personnel of the Anti Narcotics Task Force in East Jaintia Hills district, along with personnel from the Khliehriat Police Station, seized a large amount of contraband substances from an Agartala-bound truck at Khliehriat today.

Police said that 91,000 Yaba, WY and amphetamine tablets weighing about 8.6 kg with a street value of Rs 2 crore and 3,88,500 ml of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) were recovered from the truck.

Two persons have been arrested in this regard. A case has been registered and investigation is going on, the police added.
