GUWAHATI, June 7 - Guwahati city is likely to experience a drop in its day temperature tomorrow. Today it recorded a day temperature of 35.8 degree Celsius and rainfall of 11.2mm.
However, increase in rainfall activities has been reported from the upper Assam areas. The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) here has forecast that there is every likelihood of increased rainfall activities in Assam-Meghalaya and Nagaland-Manipur-Mizoram-Tripura meteorological subdivisions from June 9. Rainfall activities are expected to cover all these subdivisions, sources in the RMC said.
Today, heavy rainfall was reported from upper Assam areas. Khowang recorded 99.6 mm of rainfall, Naharkatia recorded 90.8 mm, Golaghat 80.4mm, North Lakhimpur 78.4 mm, Jorhat 71.2 mm, Chauldhowaghat 70.2mm and Numaligarh recorded 55.8 mm.
