Culvert at PMGSY road in Narainpur under Patharkandi revenue circle collapses

SILCHAR FEB 27: A large section of at least five nearby villages at Narainpur under Patharkandi revenue circle in Karimganj district have been affected due to a sudden collapse of a culvert.

According to sources, the culvert was constructed as a part of the PMGSY road in Narainpur-Chagalmara stretch back a few years ago.

Meanwhile, senior officials of Karimganj district administration informed on Saturday that restoration work at the affected site is underway; however, the completion of the work might take at least two more days. " There are men at work to restore the broken culvert. There have been no reports of any casualty," a senior official of District Administration said.
