Complete all projects on time: Arunachal Guv

ITANAGAR, Aug 26 - Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (retd) has urged all stakeholders, including government departments, implementing agencies and the public, to put in all efforts for timely completion of welfare projects in the state.

The Governor also emphasised on proper and regular monitoring of the ongoing projects, especially those under Centrally-sponsored schemes. He stressed judicious utilisation of funds, while stating that the implementing agencies must carry out the works with transparency and accountability.

The Governor was interacting with Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, who called on him at Raj Bhawan here on Monday. They discussed developmental issues, with special focus on power and investment, said an official press note.

The Governor also discussed initiatives like financial inclusion, direct benefit transfer and clearing of bottlenecks in the development process.

Mein, who is also the Minister of Finance, briefed the Governor about the financial status of the state.
