IMPHAL, Oct 17 - Saikot Sub-Division Demand Committee (SDDC) has called a total bandh in Churachandpur town on October 19 from 6 am to 5 pm after the Manipur Government allegedly failed to appoint a SDO in Saikot. In a statement, the SSDC said that they had submitted their demand for a full-fledged SDO office in Saikot on September 23 this year.
�We are left with no choice but to start the agitation. The government did not even reply to our letter,� SDDC chairman Timothy Z Zote and secretary R Lalkaisanga said in a statement.
